Another sell-out year for Cambridge
This year’s Co-operative Cambridge Folk Festival was a roaring success, having sold out every year for more than a decade.
More than 14,000 people attended the festival, which took place from from 30 July to 2 August and is now in its 45th year. The weather was, predictably, unpredictable, with rainbows, storms and blazing sunshine.
This year’s highlights included raucous folksters Bellowhead, the right royal Watersons and Scottish superstar Eddi Reader. Comedian Ade Edmondson was there with his band The Bad Shepherds and his daughter, rising folk star Ella.
