March of the 100 ukuleles at Broadstairs Folk Week

Got a ukulele? Gonna be on the south coast in August?
Taking place from August 7-14, Broadstairs Folk Week features a massed ukulele band for this year’s finale.
The March of the 100 Ukuleles takes place on August 14 and is open to anyone with an acoustic uke tuned to GCEA (not a banjo) to learn the riffs for the tune, take part in a workshop during the week and join the march along the prom.
Opening the festival is Hot Club of Cowtown, described as “the world’s greatest little Texan swing band” and other acts include the Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain, Devon Sproule, Spiers and Boden, Eric Bogle, Faustus, Tim Edey and Seamus Begley, The Maybelles, Shirley Collins and GloryStrokes.
